Terms of Service
The short version. reitrn helps you never miss a return. We read your shopping emails, list your orders, and tell you the latest date you can return each one. We work hard to get the dates right, but the retailer's own policy and receipt are what count. You keep the responsibility to return things on time.
1. The service
reitrn is a free app and website for consumers. You connect one or more email accounts, or forward emails to a reitrn address, and we find your orders, work out return deadlines, and send you reminders. Some brands may later integrate with reitrn so you can start a return in the app. By creating an account or connecting an email you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Your account
You must be 16 or over and connect only email accounts you are entitled to use. Keep your sign-in secure. You can remove a connected email or delete your account at any time from the app.
3. What you allow us to do
You allow reitrn to read the connected mailbox for shopping emails, to keep a record of your orders and returns going back up to two years, and to send you reminders you have chosen. Reading is read-only: we never send, move or delete email. Details of what we keep and for how long are in the Privacy Policy.
4. Deadlines and accuracy
Return windows come from three places: the retailer's own email, the retailer's published returns policy, and where neither is available, the statutory 14-day right to cancel that applies to most online purchases in the UK. We show which one we used and how confident we are. Retailers change their policies, emails are sometimes ambiguous, and some orders (for example those confirmed only by text message) will not appear at all. reitrn is a reminder, not a guarantee. Always check the retailer's policy before relying on a date, and contact the retailer if you think a date is wrong.
5. Returns themselves
When you open a retailer's returns page or app from reitrn, the return is between you and the retailer under their terms. Where a brand has integrated with reitrn and you start a return in the app, the brand's returns policy still applies and the brand decides the refund.
6. Your returns history
Your order and return records belong to you. We will not share them with any brand, or use them to produce a score that brands see, unless you turn that on in the app. If you do, you can turn it off again, and we will tell you clearly what is shared and with whom.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use reitrn to access someone else's mailbox, to interfere with the service, or for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Liability
reitrn is provided free and "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for a missed return, a refund a retailer declines, or any loss arising from a date, link or record shown in the app being wrong or missing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and ending
We may change the service and these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. You can stop using reitrn at any time by deleting your account. We may close accounts that are inactive for more than two years, after telling you.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales, without affecting your rights as a consumer where you live.
